BIOGRAPHY
Born in Brampton, Ontario, Paul has been painting since he was ten years old. After studying Animation at Sheridan College, Paul's desire to capture the small details of his subject matter guided him to pursue a career in landscape and wildlife painting, which allowed him to focus on realism. Paul's interests in fallen tree forms and water have been reflected in his work. He has been showing his art since 1989 at venues across Ontario and North America including Buckhorn Wildlife Art Festival and Pacific Rim Art Exhibit in Seattle, Washington. Recently, Paul has begun to adapt and develop his style, drawing on inspiration from his days in animation while turning to subject matter influenced by his passion for gardening, bird watching and music. His most recent pieces focus on warblers, floral images and music composed to the song of the warbler. He continues doing some realistic images to cover his need for realism.
